From quiet corners to bold expressions, the past year on Instagram offered a window into the in interior and outdoor spaces, ideas, and stories that resonated most with our community. As the Morgante-Wilson Architects team look back, certain images rose to the top – not because they shouted the loudest, but because they captured something meaningful: a feeling of place, a moment of beauty, a design detail that lingered.
This post is a reflection on those images. Here are our ten most-liked Instagram posts of 2025 – a curated snapshot of what inspired, engaged, and stopped you mid-scroll.
Bathroom with a View
You loved this ethereal Utah bathroom. Between its fanciful, silk-wrapped light fixture, dramatically sited tub, and billowing draperies, it offers the ultimate in dreamy relaxation – not to mention the view!
Work in Progress
Ooh, the anticipation! Instagram is a terrific showcase for work in progress – especially when the work features curved walls of windows, shapely rooms, and a conical ceiling. Curiosity reigned on this one, that’s for sure.
Archway to Luxury
A graceful arch is a standout detail in this luxurious bathroom. Not only does it frame the tub and the view, but it’s also lined with an intricately tiled Greek key pattern that adds texture and depth. Now that’s how you elevate a bathroom, MWA-style!
Getting Social
You know the folks at MWA enjoy a good time – especially when we’re all together, in Fred and Elissa’s glorious lakefront backyard, celebrating the end of summer at our annual soiree. So grateful for our team.
Heavenly Hallways
This groin-vaulted hallway was transformed in a way that blends history with modern elegance, doubling its length in the process. Double-sided wine cabinets, hydronic in-floor heating, and restored terrazzo flooring are among the details that make walking through this space an exercise in decorative appreciation.
First Impressions
This front entry makes a memorable first impression. Arts and Crafts inspired, it’s a well-planned custom mix of textures, materials, and shapes. From its tongue-and-groove stained ceiling to the poetic stone enveloping the front door, it says welcome home with style and grace.
Dining In
This dining room received a full glow-up just in time for the holiday season, beginning with a champagne-gold ceiling. Natural grass cloth softens the walls, sculptural lighting adds an unexpected touch, and new furnishings make dining here feel as festive as a night out at a favorite restaurant.
Grand Openings
You guys love a look behind the scenes – at our commercial projects as well as our residential projects. Lucca Fox Valley brought our team together with an amazing array of collaborators for a grand opening celebration that had everyone in thrall of its amenities, spaces, and style.
Lightening the Mood
Light, bright, fresh, and airy, this 1920s Wilmette, Illinois home – once a warren of dark, disconnected rooms – breathes relaxation into modern day life. You loved comparing the befores and afters of this Georgian-style home as much as we enjoyed creating them!
Outdoor Oasis
Dive right in! The Morgante Wilson Architects team upgraded a simple grass lawn into a backyard oasis, giving our clients a very special place to make happy memories for years to come. Perfect for lounging, entertaining, and soaking up the sun, it’s a sparkling retreat that gathers family and friends throughout the warm weather months.
