Founding Partner at Award Winning Chicago Architects, Morgante Wilson

The dictionary (remember those?!) defines a partner as “a person who shares in some action or endeavor.” I define it as my co-founding partner and co-principal, Elissa Morgante. (And yes, she’s also my wife. But that’s not what this post is about!)
To say Elissa and I share an unbridled passion for our firm – our life’s work – would be an understatement. That passion helped us build Morgante Wilson Architects into what it is today. It would not have happened without Elissa at the helm – a fact that was recently recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business, and their naming of Elissa as one of our city’s Notable Women in Construction and Design.
After more than three decades building Morgante Wilson Architects together, I know first-hand that having a partner you trust, respect, share a vision with, and are committed to is the very foundation for success. To this day I continue to marvel at Elissa’s talent, intellect, energy, and dedication. She brings those qualities in spades, every day and to every project, in a way that has helped our firm and our employees grow to be the best they can be.
As for me, well, I probably would have been a decent architect even without Elissa by my side. But having her here, for three decades and counting, has made me a better architect than I ever would have been alone. She inspires me every day, not only with her creative abilities and business acumen, but with her generous spirit and her enormous heart. I could not have wished for a better partner – in business, or in life. Please join me in congratulating Elissa on her well-deserved honor.
