Crisp & Modern Interiors
This Highland Park home may be all crisp lines and glass from the outside, but step inside and the story deepens. From the start, we had the rare opportunity to design both the architecture and interiors—allowing every detail to speak the same modern language, with a distinctly personal accent.
The clients came to us with a clear vision: ultra-modern, but not cold. They wanted a home that felt sculptural and sleek, but still warm, layered, and livable. The result is a space where interiors do the heavy lifting—balancing bold architecture with rich, tactile materials and a palette that’s quietly dramatic.
Throughout the home, we played with a palette of sepias, greys, and neutrals, layering steel and glass with wood, velvet, and stone. It’s a masterclass in contrast: edgy but elegant, minimal but rich. The clients’ rocker-chic sensibility added just the right amount of attitude, giving the interiors a pulse that’s anything but generic.
The heart of the home is the kitchen and adjacent hangout space, wrapped in glass on three sides. It’s where the family spends most of their time, and the interiors reflect that—inviting, comfortable, and effortlessly stylish. The family room opens to the lake and pool terrace, with furnishings and finishes that echo the natural tones just outside the glass.
Upstairs, the primary suite is a study in calm luxury. A walkout balcony connects it to the lake, while inside, soft textures and a restrained mix of materials—think mohair, marble, and brushed brass—create a retreat that feels both grounded and elevated.
